About

Throughout the course of my career, I've worked in: technology sales, support, and customer service. I'm currently teaching myself full-stack web development. I'm still learning but I'm proud of what I've created so far. Check out my portfolio to see some of my work.

Web Developer

Web development has always been an interest to me. I took a web page design course in high school, where we only learned HTML. Thankfully technology has advanced beyond the limits of plain HTML!

I took a post-college course learning JavaScript later in my career but I dropped out due to a demanding schedule.

When the COVID pandemic forced my company to distance its non-remote employees, they enrolled us in some online courses to improve our skills. Employees had to choose from a list of projects or create their own.

Some of my coursework included Visual Basic and SQL programming, Database Design, and Database Management.

For my senior project, I designed and coded a point-of-sale system for a business. I used Visual Basic for the front-end and created a SQL database in Microsoft Access. Some of the functions included: processing sales, taking customer information, and generating inventory reports.
